Venture Lab
Validating assumptions and running experiments
Early venture work is about separating what you know from what you assume. The Validation section helps you focus effort on the assumptions that could make or break the venture.
Mapping assumptions
List the assumptions the venture depends on across the customer problem, the solution, the business model, and the market. Cogliva helps you distinguish what is known, what is assumed, and what still needs testing.
Prioritising what to test
Not every assumption deserves an experiment. Focus first on the assumptions that are both important and uncertain — the ones where being wrong would change the venture. These become your validation priorities.
Experiments and evidence
Design lightweight experiments to test the riskiest assumptions, capture what you learn, and build a body of evidence. Each result either strengthens the venture, challenges it, or points to a change in direction — and feeds the feasibility view.
How to use this in Cogliva
- Open the Validation section of your venture.
- Map the assumptions the venture depends on.
- Prioritise the important, uncertain ones.
- Run lightweight experiments and log the evidence.
