Knowing what was AI-assisted

Anywhere Cogliva contributes AI-assisted content, it says so. The point is simple: you should never have to guess whether a paragraph came from you, from your organisation context, or from an AI-assisted draft — especially when the output is heading into a board pack or a client conversation.

The indicator in the header

On any page that contains AI-assisted content, an indicator appears in the top bar alongside the help and notification icons. Opening it gives a plain-language summary for that page: what AI contributed, what it was based on, and what still needs your judgement.

On pages with no AI-assisted content, the indicator stays inactive — so its presence is itself a signal.

Indicators next to fields and sections

Individual generated fields and report sections carry their own marker. Hovering or opening it explains, in ordinary language, how confident the output is and what kind of material it drew on — your own context and documents, or general strategy knowledge.

These are qualitative summaries meant to inform your reading, not scores to be quoted as evidence.

Why this matters

Being able to separate AI-assisted drafting from human authorship is becoming a baseline expectation in governance, assurance, and emerging AI regulation. It is also simply good practice: it keeps accountability with the people making the decision.

Cogliva's position is unchanged — outputs are decision support, and a named human owns every decision. See human review and professional judgment and governing AI-assisted decisions.

Before you share an output

  • Read the page-level summary so you know which parts were AI-assisted.
  • Check the marked sections against what you know to be true of the business.
  • Edit anything you would not be comfortable defending in the room.
  • Say plainly, when sharing externally, that the material was AI-assisted and human-reviewed.

How to use this in Cogliva

  1. Open the transparency indicator in the top bar on any report, strategy, or plan before you export it.
  2. Check the marker on individual sections where the wording will carry weight.
  3. Record who reviewed and approved the output in your own governance notes.
