Using the Diagnostic
Prefilling context from a website
Filling in the context section by hand is the most thorough way to start a diagnostic, but Cogliva can give you a head start. When you enter a company's web address, an optional Get context button lets Cogliva read that page and pre-fill the fields it can infer. It is a convenience, not a shortcut around your own judgment.
When to use it
Use it when a company has a public website that describes what it does, who it serves, and how it competes. It is most useful at the very start of an intake, before you have typed anything, when you want a structured first draft to react to rather than a blank form.
How it works
- Enter the company's web address in the Website field, then select Get context.
- Cogliva first checks that the address is a valid web address format.
- A confirmation appears showing the exact address it will read, so you can double-check it before anything runs.
- Cogliva reads the page and uses AI to map what it finds onto the intake fields — description, products and services, target customers, business and delivery model, market, competitors, location, and more.
- Extracted values are written into empty fields only; anything you have already typed is left untouched.
Point it at the right page
For a multi-location or multi-entity organisation, enter the page for the specific branch, division, or entity you are running the diagnostic for — not just the global homepage. The more closely the page matches the unit you are analysing, the more relevant the pre-filled context will be.
What it will and won't do
Cogliva only fills fields it can support with evidence on the page and deliberately leaves the rest blank rather than guessing. It will not invent competitors, regulatory context, or financials. Some companies publish very little, so expect a partial fill — that is normal and not an error.
You stay in control
- Extraction is entirely optional — you can always complete the form yourself.
- It is intended as a one-time head start per diagnostic; treat the result as a draft.
- Review every pre-filled field, correct anything inaccurate, and add what the website could not tell Cogliva — especially the real challenge, which rarely appears on a public site.
How to use this in Cogliva
- Type the most relevant company or branch web address into the Website field first.
- Select Get context and confirm the address shown in the dialog.
- Review and correct every pre-filled field before moving on.
- Complete the challenge and any context the site could not provide, then generate the report.
