Strategic Signals
Signal alerts and digests
Once a profile is active, Strategic Signals does more than tell you what to watch — it surfaces matching developments as alerts you can triage, and can send a recurring digest so nothing important slips by.
The Signal Alerts tab
Alerts collect in the Signal Alerts tab of the Strategic Signals page, alongside Signal Profiles and Learn — there is no separate page to hunt for. Each alert links to the source and shows a relevance score so you can focus on what matters. Unread alerts are flagged with a count next to Signals in the left-hand menu.
- Triage alerts: mark them read, or archive ones you have dealt with.
- Mark all as read to clear the queue after a review session.
- Higher relevance scores are highlighted so high-value signals stand out.
How relevance scoring works
Not every match deserves equal attention, so Cogliva scores each development against your profile rather than presenting a flat list. The score reflects how closely the development fits your monitoring topics, keywords, priorities, and the categories you chose to watch — so a high-priority regulatory change for your industry rises above a loosely related mention.
Use the score to triage quickly: start with the highest-scoring alerts, skim the mid-range, and archive the rest. Scores are guidance to focus your time, not a verdict — your judgment still decides what actually matters.
Scheduled and on-demand scanning
Active profiles are scanned automatically on a schedule so the inbox stays current without any effort from you. When you need the latest matches immediately — before a meeting or after a market event — run a scan on demand to refresh a profile straight away. New matches appear in the inbox as they are found.
Digests and delivery
Each profile has a digest frequency and can deliver a summary to a chosen email address, so the right people stay informed without logging in. Turn monitoring on or off per profile and adjust the rhythm as your needs change.
Source-grounded, not guessed
Each alert is grounded in a real source. Cogliva applies verbatim headline extraction — the headline shown in an alert is taken directly from the source rather than paraphrased or inferred — and validates each claim against the actual content of the page before including it. If the source does not support a conclusion, that conclusion is not asserted. This source-grounding approach is Cogliva's primary safeguard against AI hallucination in the signals feed: every statement in an alert is traceable to what the underlying source actually says.
Alerts show recency indicators so you can judge how current a development is, and link directly to the source so you can verify in one click. Grounding and claim-support are recomputed automatically on a regular schedule — no manual action is needed — so stale or updated sources are caught and alerts stay accurate over time.
Turning signals into action
Alerts are an input to strategy, not the end of it. When a signal changes the picture, feed it back into a diagnostic, a strategy, or a tactical plan so your direction stays current.
