Using the Diagnostic
How the diagnostic wizard works
The diagnostic wizard is a structured, professional-grade intake that maps the whole organisation — the way it creates, delivers, and captures value, who it serves, how it operates, and the constraints and competition it faces — then generates a grounded, outcome-by-outcome report you can review and refine.
The stages
- Context: describe the organisation and, optionally, let Cogliva read its website to pre-fill the intake, then confirm the business contexts that best match.
- Profile: confirm the business models and map the offerings behind them, along with size, growth stage, geographic presence, and group structure.
- Customers & market: capture customer segments, target customers, relationships, channels, market reach, and priority markets.
- Operating model: capture the key activities, key resources, and key partners that deliver value, plus revenue streams and cost drivers.
- Boundaries: set the budget, time pressure, resource constraints, and key risks, and map the competitive landscape — intensity, competitors, position, and threats.
- Desired outcomes: choose the outcomes you want, each with its own priority and success measures.
- Analyse & report: Cogliva maps every input against its connected intelligence layer, analyses each outcome separately, and returns an outcome-by-outcome report with a diagnosis, recommendations, KPIs, OKRs, and a 90-day plan.
A head start from a website
If the business has a public website, you can let Cogliva read it and pre-fill the context fields before you begin — an optional, one-time convenience that you review and edit. Everything else in the wizard still works exactly the same whether or not you use it.
Why it is structured
A consistent intake keeps every diagnostic comparable and complete. It prevents the common failure of jumping to solutions before the problem is understood, and it makes outputs repeatable across clients and over time.
Naming your diagnostic
Cogliva suggests a name for the diagnostic based on what you are diagnosing, and appends the organisation name automatically. The suggestion is only a starting point — confirm it or edit the name to whatever you and your client will recognise before you generate. You can also rename it later from the report.
Saving and revisiting
Diagnostics are saved to your workspace and can be organised by organisation and project. You can return to a diagnostic, refine the inputs, and regenerate the report as the situation develops.
What you get at the end
A complete, shareable report. From there you can export it, turn it into a workshop agenda, or generate a discussion guide for a client or team session.
How to use this in Cogliva
- Set aside enough time to complete the intake thoughtfully in one pass.
- Save your diagnostic under the right organisation and project.
- Regenerate after refining inputs rather than starting over.
