Strategy Workbench

Capturing and organizing strategic topics

Topics are the building blocks of the Workbench. Each one captures a single strategic thread and carries enough structure for you to compare, prioritize, and review it alongside the others.

Describing a topic

Beyond a title and description, each topic can carry a domain (such as Market & Customers, Operations, or Technology & AI), a type (opportunity, risk, assumption, strategic question, and more), and an assessment: materiality, priority, confidence, knowledge maturity, and a time horizon.

The status lifecycle

Topics move through a clear lifecycle so you can see what still needs attention: draft, active, under review, validated, material, and finally parked or archived. A review cadence (for example monthly or quarterly) keeps important topics from going stale.

AI topic suggestions

When you want a head start, the Workbench can suggest strategic topics for the organization. Suggestions are signal-aware — they draw on the organization's recent signals — and they are a structured first draft for you to edit, accept, or discard, never a final answer.

How to use this in Cogliva

  1. Add topics as they come up, even rough ones — you can refine them later.
  2. Set materiality and priority so the important threads stand out.
  3. Use a review cadence so topics are revisited on a rhythm, not by chance.
