Strategy lineage and revision history

A strategy that cannot explain itself is hard to trust. Cogliva makes both the sources behind a strategy and the history of changes to it visible, so you can defend the reasoning and roll back an update if you disagree with it.

The Sources rail

Each strategy has a Sources rail listing the material it draws on — the diagnostic it responds to, the Workbench topics it promoted, the Organization Context values it used, and any imported strategy document. From the rail you can jump into any of these sources to check what the strategy is actually built on.

Per-section provenance

Inside the Strategy Document, each section carries a small provenance control that opens a popover naming the specific inputs behind that section — a diagnostic finding, a specific topic, a KPI you provided, or an assumption from the wizard. It answers the question 'where did this come from?' at the level of the paragraph you are reading, not just the strategy as a whole.

The revision history rail

Every applied update produces a new revision with a short change summary. The revision history rail on the strategy lists these revisions with dates and summaries. Hovering a revision cross-highlights the sections it changed in the canvas, and hovering a section highlights the revisions that touched it — so you can see, both ways, which change affected what.

Undo the last update

If a recent update went too far, the Undo last update control reverts the most recent revision. Its tooltip states exactly which change summary will be reversed before you click, so you undo deliberately rather than by accident.

How to use this in Cogliva

  1. Open a strategy and check the Sources rail to see what it is built on.
  2. Use the per-section provenance popover to trace a specific paragraph back to its inputs.
  3. Hover revisions in the history rail to see which sections they touched, or hover a section to see its revisions.
  4. Use Undo last update — reading the tooltip first — to reverse the most recent revision.
