Strategy views and Fullscreen
A finished strategy is not a single artefact. Cogliva gives you three synchronised views of the same strategy so you can move between reading depth, one-page overview, and a graphical picture without ever leaving the strategy.
Three views of the same strategy
- Strategy Document — the full narrative, section by section, for careful reading and editing.
- Strategy Canvas — the one-page overview of choices, objectives, and measures. See the strategy canvas and strategy document article for how the two views stay in sync.
- Strategy Map — a graphical mindmap that shows objectives, initiatives, measures, risks, and their connections at a glance. Inputs into a node are drawn as light dotted lines so structure is easy to read without being noisy.
Fullscreen stays on as you switch
Any of the three views can be opened Fullscreen for a focused review or a working session. Switching from Document to Canvas to Map inside Fullscreen keeps you in Fullscreen rather than bouncing you back — so a review session in front of a leadership team stays clean. Press Esc to return to the regular workspace.
Exporting the Map
The Strategy Map can be exported alongside the Document and Canvas — as a PNG for screenshots and slides, or as a PDF for handouts and board packs. Use it when a picture makes the shape of the strategy easier to discuss than pages of text.
Inspecting a node
Selecting a node on the Map opens an inspector on the side with the content behind that node — its description, related objectives or measures, and links back into the Strategy Document. It turns the Map from a picture into a live index of the strategy.
How to use this in Cogliva
- Open a strategy and use the view switcher to move between Document, Canvas, and Map.
- Open Fullscreen for a focused session; switch views as needed without leaving Fullscreen.
- Export the Map as PNG or PDF when a picture is the right way to share the strategy.
