Organisation-level synthesis, focus themes, and the primary outcome

Cogliva's diagnostic report is designed so an executive can read one page and understand the situation, and so a strategist can drill into any outcome without losing the whole. Three elements make that work: the organisation-level synthesis, the strategic focus themes, and the primary strategic outcome.

Organisation-level synthesis

After the executive summary and the landscape map, the report includes an organisation-level synthesis that describes the challenges the organisation is facing across all selected outcomes — not per outcome, but at the level of the business as a whole. The section that follows on root causes is written to explain that synthesis, so the two read as one argument.

Strategic focus themes

The prioritisation section no longer lists every selected outcome individually. Cogliva merges related outcomes into four to six strategic focus themes — the priority topics an executive team can actually work on together — while preserving each underlying outcome in the detailed section that follows.

The primary strategic outcome

Every diagnostic has one primary strategic outcome, with the others treated as supporting outcomes. This is what anchors the executive narrative and the strategy that follows. You can make any selected outcome the primary one from the wizard's outcome selector or from the report itself — Cogliva updates the framing, the connections between outcomes, and any legacy fields that referenced the previous primary.

Per-outcome relationships

Every outcome is connected to the outcomes that most influence it, not just to the primary one. Inside each focus-area dialog you see a “Related outcomes” panel that shows those peer relationships so the strategy conversation is not artificially centred on one outcome.

How to use this in Cogliva

  1. Read the executive summary and organisation-level synthesis together as one narrative.
  2. Change the primary outcome if the wizard's default does not match the executive framing you need.
  3. Use the focus themes as the agenda for a leadership conversation, and drill into related outcomes for the depth.
